There's a lot of firsts in this photo. First time using back lighting for a photo (on the blog at least). First time making ribs. And last but not least, first time trying Bone Suckin' Sauce.
I first saw Bone Suckin' Sauce in a grocery market and thought, "Hey, that bottle looks cool." I love anything and everything clean so it's the simple packing that caught my eye. I wanted to try it out but wanted to do it in the most classic way possible and that is with baby back ribs.
The recipe is so easy and simple to follow along so check this out:
- 1 rack of baby back ribs
- Dry rub (I used Bone Suckin' Sauce's rub)
- Bone Suckin' Sauce
First, remove the membrane and clean the ribs. Pat dry and rub on the dry rub as much as you like. Cover with foil and cook in 300 degree oven for 2.5 hours. During the last 30 min of cooking, brush on sauce. Set oven to 350 and cook for another 30 min until done or til however stickiness you want to achieve. If you want sticky, repeat brushing on the sauce to give ribs a generous coating of sauce.
I don't eat bbq often but when I do, I get really picky and particular about my 'ques and this one does it (plus it's GMO and gluten free). The rub gives great flavor and seasoning and pair that with the sauce, you can't stop eating! I ate mine with corn and broccoli but this would be perfect with some bread rolls, mac and cheese, and collard greens. I never tried North Carolina style barbeque but I had the opportunity today and I was really satisfied with the flavor. I'm really excited to try other Bone Suckin' Sauce products with endless recipes in the future.
Thank you so much to Patrick and Bone Suckin' Sauce for letting me get a taste of North Carolina and some top notch Southern products!
