Open faced sandwiches FTW!

I think this is the first time I made an open faced sandwich. When I first heard about open faced sandwiches, I thought "Who would want to eat a sandwich with one less piece of bread?" Bread is life. Then, I realized toast with spread is like ?.? an open faced sandwich but with less fixings haha!

For a quick snack, I ate my first *gasp* open faced sandwich and it was delicious. I will be making more open faced sandwiches in the future and will opt for Sir Kensington's products to decorate my sandwich. Today, I decided to go with some Spicy Brown Mustard from Sir Kensington and it went so well with everything. I love Sir Kensington's packaging and their ingredients are top notch. It's non-GMO and is so versatile with all kinds of foods.

Easy peazy recipe for a pork open faced sandwich:

- Slice of bread (I used levain bread, otherwise known as sourdough)

- Sir Kensington's Spicy Brown Mustard

- Cheddar Jack & Monterey cheese

- Pulled pork

- Freshly ground pepper

Heat grill on stovetop. Spread mustard on bread and toast side down to get grill marks. Once toasted, put cheese, cover with lid and let melt. Once cheese is melted, put pulled pork (or whatever meat you have on hand) and cover with lid until hot. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper and enjoy.

Goes really well with kettle chips but it's perfect by itself. I think grilling the spread on the bread works really well; give this a try soon!

Thank you so much to Sir Kensington for letting me try their products and for giving my sandwich some character!
